These were purchased for my husband. He weighs around 200 pounds and carries most of his weight on his thighs. The exlarge fit great, are softer than other brands tried, and have the appearance of cloth underwear.Tried them and they work just fine, actually better than any other brand I've used. I'm rather large and they fit OK as well as keeping things dry! No problem on this end.Thank you Amazon for carrying these briefs. They have been a godsend for my husband in dealing with the side effects following treatment for prostate cancer. We had found them in local stores, but in they mysteriously disappeared from ALL the store shelves (at least in the size he needs). Thank you again for making this discreet, comfortable protection available.I have bought these from Walmart. They are a great idea since 95% of incontinence products are made for women. Especially heavy incontinence products. It came out to be horrible and a waste of money.Full review...Look: It pretty much looks like the same fit of product that would fit women. The only difference is that the men's protective underwear has grey stripes going down to the crotch of the pant and across the waistband. The only other notable difference is that the padding is thicker in the front.Fit: I tried the M/L product to fit a 38 inch waist. The waist band fits alright. Then it goes to the legs. Unfortunately this when It goes really bad. I pull the pant on and realize that the whole entire crotch from the leg holes from front to back is no wheres wide enough, to even fit around my privates and im not blessed with good size either. The whole area doesn't fit to the leg and there is a large gap between (the minimal leg band that doesn't work worth squat). It's not wide enough to cover my smaller then average package. Then it leaks ouut the side because of poor fit.Absorbancy: Absorbancy is minimal, It says Super-Plus. Thicker in front, Paper thin in back. I have to disagree.Price: It might be worth dirt if anything. Price is as much as regular Tena Protective Underwear.Overall Opinion: This product will cause embarassing leaks. I advise to syat away from this product. Like I said it was a great idea. But fail to deliver miserably. If you have light incontinence. You may be alright but I wouldn't depend on it. I found Boy's goodnites to work better. It seems the American Incontinence Market fails once again. If I were you I would adcise buying european brands like Abena. They have underwear products as well and I bet they work better than anything in todays American Market. Any European product does. After searching for this product, thinking that it would be the greatest for my 85 year old father, I can't tell you how disappointed I was! When I opened the package I was really pleased, as was he, with the overall appearance of the briefs. They did indeed look like underwear and were soft, and seemed to have much more "coverage" than the brand we were using. Unfortunately, when used, it was a different story. EVERYTHING (clothing, bedding, etc) was soaked, yet the liner remained nearly dry! He is a 40 waist, so we chose M/L as recommended, and the fit was secure. No problem there. I'm not sure if it is the leg design of the brief, or if the liner is slow to absorb... but it was NOT worth the searching I did to find this product. Too bad, because Tena ALMOST has a great idea there! My father has tried four different brands of protective underwear. These are by far his favorite. It probably has something to do with body shape that he doesn't have any of the problems reported by "Matt." Dad wears the ex-large size. They certainly look a lot better than Prevail and Depends--something that is important to him because he gets frequent physical therapy treatments on his legs. My only complaints are that they can be much more expensive than other brands (Amazon has the best regular price that I have found), and that Amazon doesn't offer them on the subscription plan.Update 2011: He still thinks this is a great product, and so have the many health care workers who have commented on how good it looks. Since the product was "reinvented," the price jumped considerably. Currently a discount store (think Big W) has by far the best price and they ship for free no matter how many your order. They tend (like a lot of the brick and mortar stores) to only carry the M/L size locally, but you can get the XL online.
