edit: 3 Month Update: Still very happy with this.If you are an artist who wants an excellent drawing experience, and doesn't need tilt or high-resolution textured brushes (see below), the value of this tablet is unbeatable.It is not perfect, but because drawing on it feels better than any other tablet I've used, I'm giving it 5 stars. Do note that if you intend on using this primarily as a entertainment device though, and drawing tablet second, this is not the right tablet for you.Pros:- The best drawing experience I've ever had on a tablet. I'm including comparing this to the iPad and Samsung tablets, both of which cost twice as much. Very light Initial Activation Force. Lines come out very consistently and how I expect each time. The textured surface + felt nibs feel fantastic, and the tablet does a great job of getting out of my way and letting me draw. For me this point alone was what made me pick this tablet over any of the others on the market. It just feels that good.- Screen is pretty good for an LCD with a matte texture on it. Colour range and accuracy is good. It looks grainy at first but you get used to it, and for me the primary purpose of this is to be an art tool, not a youtube machine.- Fully laminated screen- Compatible with some other XPpen pens in case you don't like the stylus it comes with- I've used XPpen products for years and I've typically been very impressed with their customer support (lifetime technical support)Cons:- CPU is a bit under-powered. It performs great for daily usage, and has no issues with sketching / drawing / line art, but if you try and do heavy multi-layer liquify, or high resolution textured brushes, this tablet will under-perform vs an iPad or Samsung. This is my biggest hesitation on the tablet, but you also get what you pay for here.- Related to the CPU I imagine, there's a fair bit of jank in the day-to-day stuff. Switching apps / scrolling etc isn't up to par with Samsung / Apple. If this device is mostly for work / drawing, it's totally fine. I can ignore the jank for the occasional times I use it as a web browser / video watcher etc. If you're drawing less than half of the time though, this will be a much bigger issue for you.- There seems to be a slight push towards green on some lighter colours, but I don't think it will affect 98% of people. Just double check colours on another screen every now and then if you are concerned.- Tilt is not supported on the tablet.- I'm concerned about how the screen texture will last after several years of use, since it's the actual screen and not a protector.- No magnetic attachment of the pen. Clips into the included case instead.- I had to calibrate the cursors position vs the stylus as it felt slightly off to me, however there is a global setting for this.Comparison VS iPad:Pro - Drawing feels much better on the XPpen. XPpen is much cheaper. Pen has a button on it. I prefer android over iOS.Con - iPad has a much better screen, much faster processor, and much better accessories ecosystemComparison VS Samsung:Pro - Drawing feels much better on the XPpen. XPpen is much cheaper.
